Comment: Time is car-to-car and includes the lower section as well. We lapped jumps at the bridge.

Comment: Beautiful canyon with an amazing sunshine !

We did the approach by a super easy walk. We parked the car at the second bridge. We think it's the perfect spot to park as we had only 30min of walk until the entrance and 15min of walk after the exit. Nice way to avoid a the shuttle if you want to save some useless fuel consumption and warm up a bit ! The water flow was super nice to work some rope technics to avoid some waterfall bottom that could be problematic for less experienced people. (We didn't go into the V crack) All the anchors were in great shape. We had a great time even if the water was really cold ! (Time is car to car with the walk and some rope management)

Comment: High water Britannia was great for our advanced group. The v crack rappel was very forceful (as was the undercut/siphon afterwards where we almost lost a rope bag). Two of our party did the v crack and the other 2 bailed on it due to high flow.

We skipped the lower section. Time is the upper section to the jump bridge.

Comment: Great day in Brittania! We had an experienced group and lapped multiple features (including climbing back up to a rappel we rigged incorrectly at the v-crack rappel to free the rope).

We went from the normal entrance to the second bridge exit. The ~35 foot jump at the first bridge is clean (and has a lower point that is great to practice front flips as well).

The rock was quite grippy overall (especially compared to Box, Monmouth, Magic Box the last few days).

This is an extremely fun canyon in these flow levels if you are looking for a chill and playful day.

Comment: Fun day. Low water levels but still fun by picking the wettest lines.

Lots of bolts all over the place make the ropewiki beta very outdated.

People, when you find a rusted quicklinks, don't just pile more zinc quicklinks on to the hanger - remove the old ones, and add a *stainless steel* replacement.

Comment: Clear cold water enhanced nicely by recent rain. 5 jumps, the two at and below the bridge were deep and great fun! Sediment from the dam is still pretty clear of the pools.

  • " Brittania report on Friday 12 Aug 2016. Lots of construction up top by the dam. The water here is perfectly clear and fantastic but just at the bottom of the dam, a ton of erosion and dirt are falling into the creek from the side of the dam and the entire creek is brown all the way to the bottom,..." • " Brittania update. Corby Petersen and I ran brittania creek yesterday. The dam is imminently about to be torn down and they are dumping debris into the creek from it now. It will be filled in / graded with small rocks when completed. Not worth rappelling from the dam anymore as it is already filling in with rocks. Can easily walk down from side of down on debris slopes. Check with workers there if they plan to blast or dump while your there. The first rapel ( former 2nd) bolts are gone/ damaged..." • " Took a peek at Britannia today. We tried the top of the dam but found that one of the bolts had been sheared off. OK. No worries, we can drop into rap 2 from the side. Nope! One bolt sheared off on that too and the other anchor beaten flat against the rock. Couldn't find any compelling places to..." Vancouver Canyoning
