Comments: I trimmed back plenty of poison oak encroaching on the path through the canyon (special challenges), so it's mostly all good now. I have not been there in 2 years; last winter's storms really cleared out the canyon bottom making it much nicer; it's still a muddy beast with water though. The sneak erosion gully is so deep now, it's its own canyon! ;)

Comment: Sneak approach gully has gotten extremely deep since it's made of dirt rather than rock. Downclimbed R1. Canyon is not that brushy overall.

Comment: The rain 2 weeks ago created mud in spots and filled some of the pools. The willows are starting to green up, and grass is growing. I took my daughter and she enjoy the quick outing.

Comment: Now that I cleared the sneak route of all the annoying dead branches and other heavy brush, this canyon really is OK! Now it just needs a cleanup crew to remove trash, and that can be done more easily by using the "super sneak" route down the cliff where the trash was dumped. The trip time noted included at least 2 hours of pruning work, so a 1 hour sneak trip should be easy now.

Comment: I'm giving this canyon an "OK" for the sneak route. I rate the full route "poor", as it is a woody deep creek bed with interesting beaver like mounds, but not much canyon like. The full route has so much brush in it that I chipped the blade on my 24" tree limb loppers making my way through it. Whereas the sneak route quickly gets to the rocky canyon and the final 55 foot rappel.
