Comments: An absolutely amazing canyon! The calcium corridor is a uniquely beautiful feature. Nice rappels with options for rigging in high water. Due to high water conditions, we rigged R5 "Ice Cream Scoop Falls" and R7 "Behind the Falls" a bit left to avoid getting pounded at the top.

Comment: A beautiful, unique, and worthwhile route! Approach in was very pretty and easy on an even grade trail. We started from the last two rappels on the Rolling Mountain route, which intersects Cascade downstream of the first drop. The lower section of Rolling Mountain was neat and provided a fun contrast to Cascade Creek. The water in Cascade is very white, opaque and in some spots super blue! Very cool to see the water colors contrast with white and red rocks. Most of rappels in Cascade are somewhat low angle and just okay. However, R5 and R7 were particularly memorable and fun. R5 was a total pounder, even at what I would think would be moderate low flow on this route. R7 is big and beautiful, the most vertical one of them all. We rigged a new anchor that put you in the watercourse. Most of the rappels had high flow anchors out of the main flow which was unfortunate but we didnt want to spend the time re-rigging everything. LOTS of creek walking between rappels, rock is pretty slick further down the creek. We bailed into the woods and walked the trail through the meadow a few times near the end. to I wore a 5/4 and was comfy, others in my group wore a 4/3 and were fine. Overall a beautiful fun day and an enjoyable route!

Comment: Approximate equivalent time listed. We did both Rolling Mountain and Upper Cascade together in exactly 10hrs with no shuttle. However, note that we are both fast, efficient, and barely stopped besides for photos in Cascade. Beautiful blue water and quite nice falls nearly throughout. There is a bit of walking between the drops, but nothing too unpleasant. Earlier season is recommended for more flow in a couple of the falls (in particular the last), although it could be pushy on R5 (?). Pleasantly surprised by the quality.
