Comments: Descended Chalk Creek to the river and packrafted about 7.5 miles to the 288 bridge. Enough water for packrafts at 135 CFS and a few sections of mellow Class II. A trickle of water through Chalk and pools less than waist depth. Thick brush at the mouth of the canyon.

Comment: Be prepared to farm an anchor at the one rappel. The final narrow section is pretty and had a few waist depth pools, but remainder of the canyon was dry and disinteresting. It was hot as hell outside so I turned around at the rappel. Also, a bug flew into my eye and I'm fairly sure (in writing this three days later) that it's still in there. Not that fun.

Comment: Descended this canyon then packrafted the salt to the takeout at the 288 Bridge. The section on the Salt River is the highlight fun class 2 sections beautiful float out.
