Comments: If you can catch this with the beauty of the ice it is a truly special experience. If in good flow I feel this could be 4 stars, the exit packs in a lot of beauty as well. One pool was a mandatory wade but short. Overall really enjoyable and fun canyon.

Comment: 2 in 1 because exit canyon is more pretty than the technical one. We changed the webbing on R 1,2,4,5. Deep pools, all easily avoidable except the R 3. We bypassed the whole thing on DCL.

Comment: Super quick, easy approach. We did the first 3 raps, then down climbed the rest. Lots of really interesting rock/water features. The exit drainage has some neat stuff as well. At one point on the exit, you'll be forced to go high then drop back down. We chose the sneak GPS exit route. Lots of loose rock and dirt, but nothing terrible. We thought this exit route would be easier than boulder hopping and following a road to get out. We enjoyed the canyon, but it would be even more interesting with some water flow.

Comment: Frozen waterfalls and ice rivers made for an exceptionally pretty and interesting run. The only unfrozen pool was waist depth and required a short, but frigid wade that involved breaking through a thin sheet of ice. R5 was coated with a beautiful curtain of ice with large icicles formed at the base. Loose rock was cleared from the top ~40’ of R1, but caution should still be used here. All webbing new. Exit drainage was scenic and had several easy climbing obstacles. Try and catch this one in flowing or winterized conditions for the best experience!

Comment: People will thrash through every drainage in the Anchas instead of going to therapy.
