Comments: Great dry canyon. Real challenge is scrambling up 250m to start, though left ropes and decent pathing help. Slings and bolts in canyon looked good. Watch out for the curious rock wallaby at the start.

Comment: Water was close to non existent. Only one pool before the final abseil that requires a bit of bouldering around to the left. Previous comment on bolts being cut was confusing prior to starting. To clear confusion, We found a 65m rope could double line all abseils (including the one into the main slot section that now bypasses cut bolts - Abseil 3). Abseil notes now accurate in "descent" section. Abseil 4 we dropped behind chock stone to ensure rope didn't get stuck on pull down, could see where ropes have gotten stuck in the past going over valley side.

Comment: !!!BOLTS CUT!!! Bolts after the first long rappel into the slot have been cut meaning you need a 40m rope to combine the 2 sections. Highly recommend that you do not use the biner block method of rope recovery on this section, as rope retrieval from the lower section is next to impossible.
Otherwise conditions were good. Approach trail was hard to find. | |||||||
