Comments: Seems like this last winter brought a ton of debris down stream, many of wish got stuck in the canyon. On top of that, several newly fallen trees are add a few obstacles. That with some vegetation growth made it a bit less enjoyable, but I still like this canyon for what it is.
And as always: DON'T BE A LAZY CANYONEER! Please carry your favorite Gardening tools to every canyon (Folding Saw, Pruners, Loppers, Machete). We all need to help with trail and canyon maintenance on every trip.

Comment: Spent 3 more hours cutting logs, trimming trees, etc. Getting better, but a LOT more work is needed to open it up properly. To be continued in January 2025.

Comment: The top of Colby Canyon have some much debris, logs and overgrowth, that it is almost impassable.
Spent about 5 hours cutting logs, trimming trees, macheting plants etc. Looks better but a LOT more work is needed to open it up properly. To be continued soon.

Comment: Went as part of a larger group. Canyon was easily accessible. Lots of gardening and bushwacking taking place to clean up the route. Anchors are generally in good shape. One was replaced. Took a longer time as we were a larger group that was experimenting with different repelling techniques.
Very little water in the canyons. Some pools created from the rains this weekend. Generally a good first canyon for beginners to practice in.

Comment: We descended this canyon during a good rainstorm and it was quite excellent. I would only repeat with similar conditions. We found the Bennen beta about rap bypasses inaccurate and I've editing the ropewiki beta with a note and the intention to complete the beta further after another descent (possible changing its technical rating from 2 to 3). There was an anchor around a tree, so someone else does this route. It was a shitty anchor, so if you are reading this, shame on you.
