8hrs Car to Car with obstacle repeats and SRT training for novice ahead of Dandarha.

Lovely walk along wash pool trail.

Descent/accent through unamed gully is somewhat treacherous despite moderate gradient. IMO it is this approach/exit that detacts from overall canyon score. We found it best to stay in the creek or River Left in the unamed gully. (There is an npws sign at top of tributary descent incorrectly marked as Cedar creek).

☆ stinging nettle, stinging trees and stining ants are prolific. Commelina and rasperry ground cover makes foot placement difficult and along with deadfall hides small drops and loose slippery boulders. Pants recommended.

1km Boulder hop monotonous.

☆ Rap 1. Missing upstream bolt. Now single. Sharp. Money Pitch. !*30m to pool. 22m to rope pull and 6m+ Jump

☆ RAP 2. Pitch incorrectly bolted for SRT (upstream bolt high, downstream low) made for slight confusion in training. Drag evident on pull also.

☆ Rap 3, bit of drag.

☆ Rap 4, Fun, awkward, even in low flow. Ditched Bag for SRT pull.  !!In high flow beware of undercut retentive canyon left!!

☆ little ejection tobbogan is rad. multiple repeats.

Skipped rap 5.

Return scramble has interesting moves to keep it engaging.

Overall a fun little descent, marred only by entry /exit.
