Comments: Really nice canyon, lots and lots of pools. The falls were stunning. I can't wait to do the full canyon, it looks amazing. I found another waterfall that was a little ways before the main falls, it was kind of off to the right side of the canyon dcr, and not part of the main stream. Obviously it's some sort of tributary canyon to the main Cucamonga canyon but I wonder if anyone has ever descended it, it has at least one nice rappel. Wish I had brought neoprene socks as the water was very cold.

Comment: This was a recon trip to see if we could get around the lower falls. Gaining the ridge on the West side at 34.19535, -117.61922 proved to be way too much of a climbing and bushwhack project. Climbing up the rock near the lower falls on the East side could work (old climbing lead bolts there), but we not prepared for that type of rock climbing gear wise. We did climb up on the East side a couple hundred feet downstream onto a ridge, but this climb continues for several pitches and it's not clear how to get back to the canyon floor. The canyon walls are just too steep and 100's of feet tall near the lower falls.
