Comments: Fun little cave. Worth hitting en route to Chipitin, maybe not as much worth going out of your way for.

We're both cave cartographers and struggled to use the map at first to find the pools. The entrance is somewhat mazey. Don't go up anything - the passage to the water is the one that goes down.

There's no need to use the rappel entrance - you can literally walk into the main entrance and be at the base of the rappel after one minute walking inside the cave.

The water for us may have been higher than previous posters - or not? The pools have very cold water, and we didn't attempt any apparent duckunders. I've been caving for around 10 years, all over the world, and generally don't risk duckunders any more, as they can quickly become an emergency.

Still, glad to see the cave that appears to contribute water to Chipitin and Hidrophobia.

Comment: Fun little cave with a neat narrow, vertical drop of about 90-100' to enter. Ledge on the hillside to reach the bolt/chain anchors can be a bit slippery.

Pull rope and leave gear at the rappel landing and head left to explore some pools, tunnels, and formations. Pools were on the shallower side and required some easy downclimbing to reach. Water deepens to swimming level and there are some fun formations to swim around and between, and some dry passages to explore. Head back to retrieve gear after exploring and follow the passage to the right to exit the cavern, which will put you midway on the trail to Chipitín.

Comment: We set aside the day to explore this cave and try to find the path through the duck-unders to access the upper part of the cave, and brought ropes for other people in the group to follow the line. The first duck-under was barely submerged, and it was about 2m of swimming horizontally until you could breath again, and then opened into more walking passage, which shortly ended at the next duck-unders. However we could not find a safe path through the next duck-unders. In trying to find the way, the leader came up in a space too small to be able to breath, resulting in a near-emergency. We gave up and turned back.
