Comment: Attempted in 1.5 days. Hiked in about 7 miles from Barnhardt TH on the afternoon of day 1. We intended to descend the full canyon and exit to Barnhardt TH on day 2. Above the lower narrows, we got eyes on the final large rap / rap sequence as well as our not-so-confidence-inspiring exit route. We decided to bail from the canyon up a steep gully CL after checking our dwindling food supply and assessing how much additional time would be required to complete the endeavor. Our sprits were then further compromised upon being thoroughly assaulted by a series of thick and particularly hostile groves of manzanita.
