Comments: I was river rafting near by and wanted to check it out. Directions were great, very slight Trickle but good dry canyon experience. Rapels 2-4 were sliding over awkward start on big old chunks of wood blocking the chute. Really liked the practice of hard starts over 10 ft rapels, ie low risk. Beautiful country out there just on the eastern side of the cascades.

Comment: Water flow is great right now for an easy short trip. It was a warm day and would have been fine without wetsuits. Can probably do it all with a hand line and spotting, but harness makes it easier.

Comment: Fun canyon. It is surprisingly narrow with low flow but very fun and easy, besides the difficult starts to the short rappels. We missed the exit point described in the beta, and the canyon narrowed back up. We ended up needing to create a dead-man for an additional 10 ft rappel. We were able to exit near the bridge further down and it was no big deal. It just made the trip a little bit longer. We replaced all of the webbing. One of the anchors the webbing should be replaced and extended further because the link was pinching the rope against a log. It made the pull very difficult.

Comment: The first descent took us 2.5 hours so likely this will go much quicker for other teams. Great for beginners assuming flow is moderate or lower. This is the narrowest canyons I've been in in the PNW which makes this canyon really fun and quite special. Probably not worth the drive out from Seattle unless you plan to string it with other attractions in the area. There is great camping in the area. Beware of ticks :(
