Comments: Great sunny day in the canyon. We used the bridge approach and is was a scenic and floaty creek walk. All the anchors were good and the jumps went, although flow was too high for the in flow rappel on R2 so we used the bolt. The large punch bowl on R3 does form a recirc at this flow rotating back toward the falls along the DCL wall. A strong swim across toward DCR will put you in the outflow.

Comment: If rappelling R2 the line you take will determine how clean your pull is, considering the quick link for the pinch anchor is both underneath the boulder providing the pinch and situated well far back from the edge. The beta says rappel to the left, but I was surprised how far to the left that had to be. Should’ve just jumped it but I was running solo. It was nice knowing from a previous party that the R3 jump was clear and deep. This jump is the only thing makes the hike out worth it.

Comment: Gorgeous canyon. This one rivals Davis in my opinion. Loved it. The hike out sucks, but it’s well worth it. I echo everything Trey said. Tributary rap all the way. Anchors were in good condition.

Comment: Great day in a new creek for me! We bush whacked in from NF-2322 and rappelled the tributary drop into the main creek, whihc was a fun warm up. There is a rebelay/second anchor on the ledge just below the start. Using this makes for a better line down to the main creek. The jump at R1 was great. We stayed out of the flow on the last two rappels. The walk down the Cispus was straightforward and the hike up the hill was steep.

Comment: Splendid canyon. The 40ft jump from the ledge below R3 makes it a 5 star canyon for me. All anchors were in good condition

Comment: Nice day out in a beautiful creek. Did 140' rappel on alternate entrance from tributary into East.

Comment: Fantastic canyon with a lot of beauty and big wow-factor on that last 35-ft jump! Air temperature was around 50 degrees, not sure of the water temperature but it was cold. I had 11mm of neoprene in the chest area and 3-4 on the arms/legs. I was chilly in the water but okay.

Comment: We should call this "The Big East". Of all the canyons in the area it had the most flow by a wide margin during the rendezvous. The big flow, big jumps, huge grotto, deep aquamarine pools, swimming channel, make this one of the most underrated canyons. The approach does suck. The exit is actually very easy now due to a pretty well defined use trail up and then open forest walking to the road.

Comment: Short but a lot of fun. Did the overland entrance which wasn't great, but I've done worse for less. First rappel went as a jump, second was a little too shallow, and the last was jumpable as well after rappelling down to the ledge.

Comment: Ayoooo this canyon was a BANGER! Sure the approach and exit aren't fantastic, but this one needs way more love than it gets. The canyon itself was spectacular and the flow was awesome, really glad we ran it. Each rappel was jumpable, but we touched bottom on the second pool. If I wasn't the first person down on the third rappel, to depth check, I would've jumped! That pool was so deep and I shorted the rope so the other members had fun plopping into the water.

Comment: First time here and what a lovely creek! Good fun to play around in the pools, and it’s very pretty! The NorHex approach was great minus the final descent to the creek… though far better than a bunch of creek walking. We found R2 to be jumpable, though with a technical launch DCL. The pool below was at least 8’ deep… possibly 10’. It gets shallow quickly further away from the rock, so positioning someone where it’s shallow helps the jumper hit a safe target.

Comment: Exiting Dark Creek by a good hour, we decided to run East Canyon Creek just down the road. Rebuilt anchor at R2 (looks like it's underwater in high flow). Pools are amazing and lovely float out through the narrows. Less awesome: the bushwhack back out. Will update the beta on the best route. Ideally, the routes in & out should be flagged to standardize route development.

Comment: First visit after several recommendations to check this one out. Took the NorHex Route in and descended a narrow draw into the creek. Wow, what a canyon! Great bang for the buck. The last rappel into the narrows is spectacular. We found the exit route without much difficulty.
