Comments: On our way over to Grizzly I hiked down to the first drop and decided to rappel/ascend. The first rap is super nice puts you way out from the wall. Definitely worth a bounce if you are in the area but wouldnt do it by it’s self.

Comment: followed haribo approach. best to navigate from end of trail via the center of the ridgeline. haribo approach works well, routefinding skills will come in handy.

we started high left on drainage turning rt at the large dead tree next to Ursula crack and heading south east to drop in. when the brain rock comes in from the right work your way towards the notch with moderate downclimbs.

r1. Anchor was placed with extra tail for ease of future anchor adjustments. pull was clean. Watch for notch on edge when placing ropes. There are two ledges about 8ft down. Reccomended to toss ropes from first ledge and out to avoid dislodged a huge coconino plate hanging off the edge about 50' down. TOSS ROPE!! Do not drop straight down. A test pull was performed before last man down. clean pulls. This drop is all of 200 feet and in wet conditions 220'.

    really fun rappel!

hang out in the bowl and soak up the views before the 2nd and last rappel.

R2 is larger than it looks 150' minimum will get you down to the first ledge. 200' could be run out for the full rap. (mini overhang drop at end). There is a ledge halfway down that may catch rope if not tossed out.

enjoy a fun downclimb and exit as you head back to fay canyon th.
