Comments: A worthwhile option in early season. The route is viewable from the road where flow can be asessed. Surely not a classic, but a worthwhile addition to the Silverton area. When mineral, ice lake, and cataract are out of play, GMC would make a great back up.
The approach is laced with Columbine gardens and is on an easy to follow trail. The big rappel was worth the effort to get there.
Get it while the gettin's good.
