Comments: There are now five rappels up to 40'. A wetsuit was not required. The Tuckup trail is nonexistent for the first 7-8 miles. To make your life easier, head down Tuckup canyon to the second drainage on the left (LDC) and climb up to the Tuckup route there. If you take the original route, you'll have to work your way through a cactus minefield.

Comment: From Tuckup Canyon Trailhead 11/23/23, Hades Knoll to just above the Conglomerate Arch in Main Tuckup on 11/24/25, hike back to trailhead on 11/25. Route just under 20 miles total. Hike to head of Hades Knoll, moderate pace with minimal breaks (lots of avoiding crypto on no trails) took 8 hours, 8:30a-4:30p. Hades Knoll arm took 8:30a approx. 5pm. 5 Rappels, two fiddlestick/handlines for my less experienced partner. All five rappels felt pretty mandatory for someone who is reasonably risk-averse. Maximum rappel we encountered was still 50 feet. Webbing was in surprisingly good condition for all anchors, but would not expect that to last long. Appeared that someone had gone through extremely recently based on two sets of footprints. Three Belly-deep wades, one knee-deep. Wetsuits not required, but we were chilled for a while after our wades. Followed description in "Grand Canyoneering" and spent time looking for the social trail on down-canyon-right before realizing that just because we could see the confluence, it didn't mean we were to the final walkaround yet.
