Comments: Yellowjackets are out in force this year -- we were attacked on both entrance & exit. Creek itself had low water, but still fun rappelling the falls and floating in all the pools. Reached the bottom of the falls by a good hour, so continued with lower Henline for a full day.

Comment: Great outing in upper Henline, but last person discovered a core shot in the rope on the final rappel. Unclear what happened there; haven't had issues rappelling that drop before.

Comment: Did a little bit of training with some newer canyoneers below Henline falls to Opal Creek. The fire closure is lifted and has left little noticeable impact on the area I saw.

Comment: Brutal approach hike. Defiantly a good place to have a GPS to make sure you don't miss any turns. After sweating it out and climbing to R1, the descent through the river was cool and beautiful. A 60m rope can be used, however like it says in the description, there is a 140' rappel that is easily down climbed DCL, and Henline Falls..... You have to climb DCR over slick rock to the rappel anchor which is right at the edge of the falls, then rappel to the end off your rope, then off the end (yes, off the end of your rope) dropping 2' to the wet rocks below. There is a good trail to the bottom of the falls and only do this if you have a spotter on the bottom. Defiantly spices up an already exciting and beautiful rappel. Thanks for the good Beta. Adam

Comment: Good flow. Did the whole canyon all the way to the Opal Creek confluence. Many anchors were missing or damaged, rebuild some and used releasable anchors for others.

Comment: The trail up to the drop in (Henline + Ogle Mountain) is overgrown and difficult to follow in some parts (it will disappear and reappear unexpectedly so try to follow the GPS tracks as closely as possible). You should aim to drop in above Steve Falls. We used retrievable rappels for most falls except for Jerry and Henline Falls where the webbing was already there. The waterfall could have been a bit higher but it makes for a good beginner canyon/starter canyon for harder canyons in the area with more water flow.
