Comments: Really pretty canyon with unique scenery, nothing beats finishing with a dip in the creek. Swam at base of R1. A could other thigh to waist deep spots. Backed up webbing on one rock pinch, a couple others are getting crispy. Ghosted where possible. Final rappel sequence got a bit confusing, went DCL ended up on a large ledge. Anchor was too high to safely access alone so built a deadman’s to get down to next drop. Overall really fun.

Comment: This canyon is mediocre at best. The scenery on approach and technical section is fairly bland and the rappels are lack luster.
Approach up Long Canyon Trail is easy but very long (as name implies) and is very boring. The scenery is bland making the trail feel like it goes on forever. Once in the drainage, you have even more un-remarkable, brushy scenery and continuous rock hopping/downclimbing for quite awhile before 1st rap. The first rappel goes down a chute to a landing where 2nd rappel drops into a waist deep pool full of wasps. This is the only time we got wet in the technical section. There isn't much "slottyness", the cliffs are not very grand, and the high desert backdrop in this particular area doesn't yield much to look at. Throughout the canyon there were a few small features that made us say: "hmm that's neat" but not enough to change the overall underwhelming tone of the canyon. Once down to Wet Beaver Creek we hiked down a bit and found a nice deep area to swim for a while under the canopy, we also found some very cool, well hidden, ancient pictographs! These were the only 2 semi redeeming features but one wouldn't need to waste time on the canyon to experience them. The hike back to our vehicle was again very long, easy, and very bland, albeit slightly less bland than the approach. We were honestly expecting more, due to the previous positive reviews. I wouldn't say this was a "bad" canyon, but we didn't feel it was worth our time.

Comment: Fun canyon. Great scenery. One chest deep pool, but dry until Wet Beaver Creek. Creek is possible to cross knee deep.
