Comments: This can be run as a ~10 minute one way car shuttle from Lost Burro Mine which cuts off 1,000' from the approach. We camped at the mouth and parked a car there, drove up to Lost Burro Mine (Rav4 accessible all the way). Time includes exploring most of the accessible parts of the mine, including a 70' or so shaft with a ladder that we climbed using a top rope. We then climbed up to the Ubehebe Canyon drop in point (as shown in Scott's GPS tracks) and reversed the Ubehebe approach to the top of Lost Burro-once you leave the ridge and head into the drainage, the drainage will not take you into the canyon. There's a small saddle point where you need to jog east to get into the actual canyon, GPS can be helpful here. Total time from leaving the mine to the end of the canyon was just under 4 hours, including summit beers and lots of anchor building teaching-I'd imagine the entire thing could be run in well under 3 hours with the car shuttle with a fast group. Replaced all anchor webbing. Would rate the Mine + Canyon combo as 4/5, canyon alone as 2/5.
