Comments: High clearance required for access but under dry conditions 4x4 should not be needed. About 2h approach along a mostly well-defined trail. Lots of slide opportunities and short but tricky downclimbs. Only ended up doing 4 rappels. Many deep pools and a couple swimmers. Comfortable in a 3/2 wetsuit. Exited by following the drainage back to the car park which took about 45min and yes, there were many spiders. And yes, they wanted to cuddle.

Comment: Had a good run of it. Took us 2 hours 15 minutes for approach. Water was verrrrry low, which we figured for this time of year. We were happy to have wetsuits when in water, but definitely was overheated when hiking between water. Found some pools to chill in to bring down our temp. Would run earlier in the year for better conditions.

The hike in is a slog as is the creek hiking. The fun/ ratio leaned more towards work for me on this one. I would run again but in tip top conditions, not worth it low. That being said, I'm am sure it's pretty rad in good conditions.

Comment: Loads of burn damage in the area, a few downed trees on the trail, evidence of major flooding in the canyon. Bolted the second rappel, rebuilt all other anchors since they had all been destroyed in the flooding. Most pools were fairly shallow, use caution if sliding or jumping. Used retrievable anchors for 3 of the drops. Canyon is still nice - again, no spiders.

Comment: Good, cold flowing water - no significant water challenges. The trail was quite overgrown and easy to loose in just a few spots - this could be a seasonal problem. Beautiful fall colors. Others have reported difficulty with spiders in the lower canyon - we found none.
