Comments: We had to tight some nuts on few anchors but all good now. Perfect anchor condition. Perfect flow and weather. Be careful on some jumps, check the depth because some pools are little bit shallow. Specially the last jump with the big log across the stream.

Time is for the full canyon with the canoe approach, we spent some time having fun in the keyhole, and lost around 30min to pull back the rope in the C42. absolutely amazing day and magic canyon !

Comment: Time is car to car for Monmouth (upper section from the slide to the Keyhole) and Box. Time includes the canoe / packraft trip.

Rented a canoe from Squamish Watersports and so had 1 canoe, 2 explorer 200s and a SUP (We had a 6th intermediate meet up with our group for the Box section).

Water was up to Moderate from Mod-Low a few days before due to the rains.

Comment: Fun day in mod-low conditions, starting at the bonus upper section. Water was surprisingly mild. Despite a cloudy drizzly start, no one felt cold. Ran all the way down to the confluence with box. The final lower section feels different - more slippery, more down-climbing, lower quality anchors. Would probably leave after R14 next time.

Used Squamish Watersports for a boat shuttle.

Special challenges refer to two occasions rope stuck on the pull (first a bight pinched in a rock, second the last part of the tail knotted itself at the anchor), super bad luck.

Both were easily remedied by exiting DCL and looping back around.

Comment: Easily rappelled off a tree into the canyon to start below 42m rappel. It was sunny and about 15 deg but we still got cold toward the bottom. At Rap 10 on the topo (shown as R19 or R15/J4)we rappelled a dry tube on river right. The rappel was 24-26m long and ended in a deep pool, we connected it to the ledge above the diving board for a total of 32m. The diving board pool was only 5 feet deep but we were able to rappel off a wedged tree 10m upstream from the diving board jump A 40m rope is a little short for the 39m rappel. We did at least 4 rappels after the 39m one. We replaced or added to all the sling anchors we used.

Comment: Despite the low flow conditions, this was a magical canyon, with great views of Squamish. The canyon offered everything you could ask for and more. In higher flow there are several direct rappels that would be in high flow, so bring a good group.

Comment: Great fun! Flow was moderate. It had been low (or mod-low), but received an inch of rain from noon 9/4 - 10am 9/5. With nearly a day to drain, it was running at a fun moderate flow. Pictures for comparison (thanks to the team who ran it on 9/2 for the comparison pic). 9/6 on the left post-rain; 9/2 on the right pre-rain

Comment: Dropped in where there was conveniently a trail sign marking top of the waterfall - this is the top of Rap 1. Rap 6 is closer to 30 m not the listed 24 m. We snagged the rope on the pull for the DCR option of Rap 10 in an inconvenient crack. Diving board directly following was too shallow to jump. We were able to hike back around after the diving board to retrieve our stuck rope. We ended up hiking out after this. Mosquitos were definitely as bad as noted in the description

Comment: The second best canyon in British Columbia, and co-star of 'Down the Line'. Longer and more technical than Box. We had a big group, but moved efficiently thanks in great measure to the canyon been recently bolted. The last 2-3 rappels do not have bolts (yet), but everything else was in fantastic shape.

Comment: Fun canyon! There is stll enough water where you'll be swimming but water levels are lower so be careful with jumps (e.g. at the diving board - most of us rappeled it but one jumped and noted it was very, very shallow). We were padding out to the canyon by 9:15am, descended the canyon to the bottom floor, and paddled back to the cars by 7pm. We started with a group of 5 (2 left early and exited at the key hole).
