Comments: Parked at the intersection of Ridgeside and Canyon. Hiked up the Clamshell Truck Trail and then the firebreak to Clamshell Peak since I didn't have a shuttle vehicle. After the peak, the last mile to the drop-in was much easier. The approach took 3 hours. I was very impressed by Monrovia Canyon which features mature trees and no brush for most of its length. There were many interesting downclimbs and the going was quick. The only brushy section was where the canyon does a 90 degree left turn and catches a lot of sun, but this was short. Continuous waterflow started around this region. I did 6 rappels total, mostly dry ones but a few with some splashing from a waterfall.
