Comments: We did 2 Towers and Mordor. So you have all the 4 parts which are different. The upper upper starts at 2250m under the volacano. the upper ist surely the most beautiful part where middle and lower are more discontinuous. The approach would be easy if you always stay on the big good paths. We got lost in the beginning in the morning at 4am. Instead of 3h it took us 4 to arrive at the start. The canyon itself was good equipped, just the upper upper part is a bit instable and the rockfall/landslide risk is not 0. The whole canyon took us with a good speed 5h including a break. Calculate with 6-8h for the canyon.

Comment: All bolt stations found except rappel 5 or 6. Found relatively new sling/ring around pinched boulders dcr and slightly higher.

Skipped rap 2 or 3 and jumped 12 ft into 5-6 ft pool. Scrabble up and around dcr. Used the bailout as the top of the canyon was very fun and satisfying. Definitely plan for poison oak. Realtively easy hike out compared to Myo.

Comment: Awesome time in the canyon with a little extra juice. Canyon has been cleaned out a bit so it looks lovely. Rap 2 entrance log has moved to DCR and there is a huge log on the 2nd stage to the left of the chute. Big log at the bottom of rap 4 is gone so its a clean pool. jump after 4 has changed a bit as its filled above the jump and now has a small pool and the pool below seems deeper. Log jam after jump is huge now.

As always, such an amazing canyon!

Comment: We did his Canyon as a back up to Adam’s. Adam’s was being Adams, which was highly unpredictable. We cut out some locals only rope that had webbing connected to it as if it was going to be an anchor. Did I just read the previous report comparing Davis to East Canyon? Wow. Thats wild.

Comment: Followed the track line, for gaining over 1k ft of elevation on approach it’s actually not bad at all until the last 1/4 mile where it gets steep. The 1st 3 rappels are super fun and probably the highlight of the canyon. All anchors were solid! Happy to report I encountered 0 bees at any point on this run. I couldn’t see the webbing on R5 so I went off a tree DCR. Just past R5 a log jam collapsed under my footing and I caught myself in the dip position on a big rock, there are alot of slippery rocks and numerous down climbs with logs everywhere. Careful when approaching these obstacles. The lower canyon offer nice narrows and a couple nice pools. Water is also quite cool!!!

Comment: Easy solo trip. Car to car in 1 hour 15 minutes without trying. Despite, until recently, being an unpublished canyon, a small “goat track” in and out is present.

Comment: Low to normal water conditions. Water temp cold but not crazy.

P4 has a loose bolt. It’s one of the original ones. The one on right hand side (if looking at wall). Will arrange for it to be replaced as part of Canyoning Australia’s Canyon Fund.

Comment: Water levels are still pretty low, but all the slides and jumps are still super fun. The hydraulics are all gentle and playful at this time, but that'll probably change pretty quickly when the rain comes in this week. Overall a great day if a little chilly as always in Hager. Don't forget that extra neoprene or rain jacket for this one.

Comment: We did not run the canyon. The creek was observed to be extremely low the day before the attempt. We saw it on the previous day at 10:30. By the time we showed up the following day at 8 AM the flow had more than quadrupled. Thinking that we could probably deal with that flow. We suited it up and hike down and watch the creek continue to rise. By the time we made it back to the car, we saw the flow more than doubled in three hours. If you are going to attempt this Canyon, it’s best to observe it from the bridge and when you know, temperatures are going to be very low. Probably best to make it your back up and check it before you run or whatever you were going to run initially.

Comment: This canyon is very short but very fun and overall definitely worth it. Mostly R stemming with one X silo crossing. We crossed the Silo high and it was very straightforward and comfortable despite the exposure. I found Psycho D to be prettier but far easier than the other X canyon in Ticaboo, Glaucoma. Waist deep pool before the final downclimb and then a full on swimmer in the last pool. You get into the sun fast after the swim so keep the wetsuits at home.

Comment: Even hitting this canyon with an expected thunderstorm creating wet conditions and light flow, I do not understand how anyone can think a majority of these drops are mandatory, let alone even optional. Even doing the optional ones at the end, there were maybe one or two rappels that were required. The approach is not worth the lackadaisical "downclimbs" presented here. I rarely post trip reports but this canyon was so god awful and over hyped that I hope to save someone else the misery of ever finding themselves with time to kill and choosing to run this canyon.

Comment: We parked at the Lost creek trailhead and hiked up the road to the trailhead. Unfortunately we didn’t have any luck finding anyone driving up to give us a ride. 2 hours to the drop in. Weather forecast initially looked fine but we ended up having a thunderstorm hit the area while we were descending. Even with wet rock and some mild flows we were able to down climb most of the canyon. We rapped the first 2 drops and the last 2 drops. Pretty area but the canyon was underwhelming. Easy exit.

Comment: All anchors were in great shape, including the optional 4th rap. We found this canyon to be beautiful with a low pay-to-play ratio. Would recommend.
