Comments: Not worth doing imo. It's mostly boulder hopping in non technical terrain and not scenic at all. Only two required raps, neither of which are good quality. One super short rap to get into the slot before the last rap and then quickly followed by the last rap, which is 180'. If you do choose to do this canyon, be sure to have skills to have your rope release from the top for the last rap. Otherwise, it's highly likely that you'll get your rope stuck. The only anchor for the 180' rap is about 20' back from the start of the rappel.

Comment: A typical Pinon Mesa canyon with lengthy hiking for a nice, brief Entrada narrows followed by a big headwall rappel in the Wingate. If the team is up for a desert hiking adventure, the few big rappels are rather pretty and memorable. The pay to play is off kilter, but that's in alignment with this area.

Unclear about the Oct 2023 comment as there's a great tree DCR close to the edge for the final rappel that is easy to fiddle using only a short amount of extra rope.
