Comments: Approach is long and lowers my opinion of this canyon quite a bit. Perhaps this holds true for all of the Mosaic forks.

We were a possible second descent of this canyon. Twice, the webbing on existing anchors was inspected, looked fine, and then began to disintegrate once in use. We replaced all anchors after that. This issue was found in a few other DV canyons this weekend as well, including one accident (see Cerberus). Opinions vary on this issue, but the bottom line is be very careful. Back that shit up.

We core-shot a rope on the 250 rappel (didn't seem that long to me) near the top edge. I would strongly recommend a rope creeping system to constantly change the abrasion point on the rope as if you were in a class C canyon. This would be a good idea in most DV canyons with big drops IMO.
