Comments: The approach is steep but not too bad. There is one loose and steep section I didn't care for, but if you are careful you can find bedrock to walk up in most of it. We replaced all the rappels we used, and one we didn't (A long down climb at R2: We put in a rock chock anchor dcl). There was at least one more rappel we found with a washed away anchor, but we went down with a landline/meat anchor and the last person down climbed with assist. So all new webbing but perhaps you may want to build one more anchor.

Comment: The anchors had been blown out almost entirely by a flash flood level water event. We left lots of webbing and new links. The approach KML is totally wrong and needs some work. I may get around to this, but it's unlikely. Either way, the last portion of the approach is not great. Nice friendly rappels. :)

Comment: We intended to descend Abysmal but hit inclement weather and bailed for natural bridge. We saw some big horn sheep towards the end of the approach. The rock in the upper canyon is beautiful. We built 1 additional anchor above what is usually a down climb to protect people in the slippery conditions. By lower canyon, the weather let up, and we were cruising. We spent a lot of time by the arch to relax since the sun (finally!) came out.

Comment: If you're interested in doing this canyon, you better be ready for a long and steep approach.

We left at 7:00 in the morning and finished the approach in 5 hours. There are definitely some sketchy sections to get past, but nothing too dangerous. Please consider bringing a device with GPS capabilities because we would not have been able to find the drop-in point without it. The rappells were nice and plentiful, all built with Cairn anchors. All the webbing was sunbleached and had to replace all of it. Not sure if I would do again, but it was a good experience.

Comment: Not sure if I would do this one again, the approach was okay and the canyon didn't seem super memorable to me. We exited in the dark, but the natural bridge was still a cool sight in the dark.
