Comments: BUTT SLIDE ALL DAY! This may not be the most "fun" canyon, but the access super easy. The creek walk down the the rappels is a little steep and slippery so watch your step. We were able to skip both R1 and R2 but it required some spotting and such. Also R1 Anchor station is super slippery. Once you get to R3 (the bolts in the moss) its but slide all day!! its one large rock you get to butt slide down. This time of year there was almost no water, but still enough for a long butt slide!! This is a great canyon to practice new techniques you want to master, test out new gear ect.. I would say its on the low risk scale, at about any point in the canyon you could walk into the forest if you had a problem. This makes it a great place to practice and learn! and fun for butt sliding! there arent any pools or any swimming, you could probably do this in your regular cloths and not get very wet.

Comment: Very low water. Wet suits were worn but the creek could have been run in rain boots. The lower unlinked bolts had been linked via two quicklinks and a rap ring, which we removed. Please leave unlinked bolts unconnected!

Comment: Shuttled up to the campground and did a complete descent. Hitting it in spring is likely best for splashy water conditions, but water never more than about calf-deep. Canyon is over-bolted and many of them are in weird places out in the watercourse, although seemed in good shape. The lower canyon has a different flavor with big trees and ferns. A very pleasant early spring outing.

  • "Fun little trip, with Keith Campbell, down Parker Creek last Saturday. Nothing extreme, water barely above the ankles....and dry socks and shoes less than half mile away. I would have liked to see more ice, but still fun." Pacific North-West Canyoning

Comment: Leading a group through a canyon was a fun way to spend a birthday. Hard to complain about wearing a T-Shirt and shorts!
