Comments: Hiked the entirety of the route in 4.5 hours. Nice, easy route, really good, deep narrows right at the end of the canyon - you could actually see almost all of the good stuff by hiking up from the bottom if backpacking in Aravaipa Creek. Rebuilt one anchor - totally dry.

Comment: This was a cool and unexpected slot canyon. I'm glad we did it, but not sure I would do it again. We did the canyon as the start to a 2 day backpacking trip. No shuttle, with all our backpacking gear went up the hill, then proceeded down to the canyon. The downhill part of the approach was what made me question ever doing this canyon again. It's was loose rock down a steep slope.
Once you start down, you're not going to be able to go back up. We were rewarded with a unique changing slot canyon. It was very pretty and feature multiple down climbs that were fun. The 3 raps were all in the last quarter mile and close together. We put new anchors on the first two, the 3rd seemed ok for now but will need to be replaced soon. By the way Bear Creek road is drivable in any SUV to the beginning of 5026C where there is a fire pit that would be a good place for a shuttle vehicle. Aravaipa Road has some water crossings between bear creek trail head and aravaipa trail head, that would be fine with any vehicle with 4 wheel drive, depending on conditions 4 wheel drive may not be necessary.

Comment: Time includes primo and a trip to into hellhole up Aravaipa.

A nice canyon, though it takes a long time to get out there. The rabbithole was especially cool and may be downclimbed, only R2 was mandatory if you are a comfortable enough down climber. It was quite hot outside the canyon, I wouldn't do it any later in the year.
