Comments: Shorter loops can be done from the bottom of the gorge with a single vehicle, but we decided to drop a shuttle and hike Rattlesnake Creek Trail which first traces the rim of Cedar Breaks and then weaves its way down through a lovely section of alpine forest. Multiple anchor options are available at the one and only rappel. We chose an exposed tree root RDC. Flow was light and the pool at the base was only shin depth. Rattlesnake and Ashdown creek were both gorgeous. Although mostly a hike (lots of creek walking, some may appreciate trekking poles), this route was worthwhile and thus has been shared with the Ropewiki community.
