Comments: The last rappel in the middle gorge is missing both nuts and one bolt hanger. We slung a medium chockstone and left behind a piece of 1/2" webbing, and the pull down from the bottom pool was difficult. The next team should bring two hangers and two nuts (5/8"?) to clean the webbing and avoid a difficult pull down.

Comment: High flow levels made it impossible to stay in the watercourse through the tyrolean traverse section. Dangerous hydraulics and sieves were present at the time. We used the cable to bypass some of the obstacles, but the cable was cut in multiple places. Most groups are going to want to wait for lower water levels to attempt this canyon. We used the upper entrance and wouldn't recomend it, with the road being in poor condition and the approach being overgrown. I would hike up from the bottom if I did it again.

Comment: Wonderful canyon for early in our high-water summer. We did the middle & lower sections. We followed the approach KML a little too closely and wound up working harder than we need to - probably the right move is to continue up the road past the 3rd switchback and look for the well-worn, mostly-flat trail. Continue to stay along the river until the very last ascent.

Our first rappel off the bolts of the Tyrolean put us straight into the flow. From there, we built anchors or ghosted almost every other rap. Some new hardware (or at least bringing a hanger and nut where previous reviews have mentioned it missing) would ease the anchoring challenges in this canyon. Some jumps were technical but we didn't find any unseen hazards. Plenty of obvious, low-angle slides towards the end.

Water was pushy, but staying in the areas of heavy flow made for a fun afternoon and didn't pose hazards to our group.
