Comments: I ran the lower section below the PCT. It's been almost a decade since I last did this and I forgot how much bushwhacking was involved. In my opinion it is not worth the effort. I only rapped R5 and R7 and was able to down climb or bypass everything else. All raps were ghosted and I removed some old webbing along the way.

Comment: Flow was surprisingly low for mid-winter, but much fun was had. N.F. Rock seems to be a good one in the early season with a nice south facing drainage. Temperature was 38 degrees F on returning to the car. Practiced a few rigging techniques just for the heck of it.

Comment: Very low water, just a trickle at most of the falls. Deepest pool was about waist deep, but most were far shallower. Walked through a bee hive on the east side of the creek on the stretch between r3 and r4 and got stung on my legs, arms, and neck.  :(

Comment: Explored the east fork. Unfortunately only +1 waterfall. Looks like the west tributary is the best bet for running NFRC... or drop directly in from the PCT. The falls on the main line are worth it, but the cost to play may be a little high for some.

Comment: Explored the middle tributary and found +3 falls. Water in the tributary was fine, but tripled on entering the main fork. Still lots of snow in the upper drainage.
