Comments: Time breakdown does not include getting to Inspiration Point, since we came from Alpine Canyon. Time includes: hiking from Inspiration Point, cutting a path through the thick brush (special challenges), hiking down canyon to 1st rappel was 1 hour. Doing all the drops and replacing all the webbing anchors (except last one which should be replaced too; and what's up with the purple painted quick-links?) was 2 hours. The hike down via the old Lowe Railway Incline trail out was 1.5 hours.
Even though some of the approach would have been horrible without cutting a path through the brush, the canyon itself is nearly free of brush; do watch the yucca though! The drops are quite nice and clean. Yes, one of them has four steel wire ropes going down the drop, but they really are not in the way. Overall, a decent canyon; certainly worth checking out if you happen to be in the area.
