Comments: Approach was much more challenging than expected. We did not bring nearly enough water and ran out by the top of the approach, leaving us incredibly thirsty by the exit hike. The stem was quite challenging but do-able. We made 1 mistake and the approach hike took around 3.5 hrs. GPS with ALL coordinates was absolutely necessary for this and would have been absolutely impossible without. Our rope got stuck on the last rappel and we ended up having to leave it there (It is still there, perfectly good 60m). The exit hike with no water was absolutely brutal. Expect to spend extra time on the drive in if not in a RZR or some sort of buggy. We had to walk a extra 0.6 miles to the trailhead because the truck was not able to make it all the way to trailhead. There was only one pool that we had to go through leaving our socks and shoes wet for the hike out. The approach hike was very technically challenging and expect to spend extra time doing this. Overall, a very challenging canyon and one of the hardest approach hikes I have done. Bring extra water!

Comment: We made one error on the approach. It took us 2 1/2 hours to reach the Overlook where we took a break for lunch. The crux silo was easy from the mid-level using the fairly wide ledge on left and a rib on the right, making for an easy star bridge. Going high on the crux is greater difficulty and makes for a difficult dismount. We avoided all water. There were two pools we rapped beyond and one we bridged over. Kept our feet dry which was nice for the hike out. A high pay-to-play ration, yet one not to be missed in Moab. Best downclimbs in Moab and the only true slot canyon?
