Comments: A light trickle over the falls and beautiful frozen river between R1 and R2. Downclimbs and general navigation more challenging due to ice. All webbing is new. Anchors place you directly in the watercourse. R2 is IMO one of the best raps in the Anchas. Time is car-to-car (not including driving time on shuttle road).

Comment: This is a really great mini route that holds alot of value if you like ascending or want ascending practice. While short, the features within are really picturesque and the rappels are really nice, especially the last one!
Approach is fairly quick. We rigged both drops as fixed lines. 1st drop webbing on tree needs replacing, we rigged directly to the tree instead. 2nd drop we rigged directly to the 2 bolted hangers using alpine caving techniques (2 lockers and an equalized fusion knot). If planning to pull your rope, bring webbing to rig an equalized anchor as there is no webbing rigged here... 2nd drop is a really nice nearly instant free hang!! Huge bang for your buck if you are in the area!

Comment: Some lightly flowing water over R2 and a couple ankle deep pools. Quite lush from recent rains. Fixed ropes and ascended back out. Placed a few pieces of edge pro along R1 but only one piece used for the lip at R2. It rained for a bit on the exit and we took shelter underneath a roof at the base of the R1. Hiked out by headlamp and witnessed an incredible lightning show taking place in the distance.

Comment: I guess it was a thing to do back when I was young and felt like rappelling every pour-off in the Anchas for no particular reason. These drainages have seen a decent bit of exploration over the last couple of decades. Most of them we never found worth repeating, particularly with classics like Parker close by. The rock quality is generally poor. You can climb in and out of the drainages between most of the drops or jug a fixed line if you need to. Definitely not worth hiking out Cherry Creek or setting a shuttle.
