Comment: Time includes a couple hours of fishing WCC (tiny fish, wouldn’t bother again). Took the Four Boulders/“short exit, which is a mostly pleasant hike up WCC and Clover Creek, pretty this time of year. It goes into slightly loose class 3, and looked a few times like it might cliff me out, but there was always a reasonable way forward. With this route, roads extend further along approach and exit than maps suggest. A second set of wheels could shave off another half hour or so, but it’s a short route anyway.
Pothole still in challenging, but not keeper mode. Arch anchor for pothole bypass rap is not visible from above or even on rappel, but easy to find after completing R5 by looking slightly high RDC.

Comment: Webbing stands, some drops were ghosted and will not have webbing. Keeper is not in play, but proved difficult for some to maneuver. Avoidable if you stay on rap and anchor to the arch above the keeper drop. Highly recommend avoiding the drop down to the keeper.
Two stage rappel prior to the keeper was reset to 50', 48' measured out didn't touch, so 40' from prior beta is insufficient.

Comment: A decent WCC canyon with short sections of pretty, sculpted, albeit somewhat shallow slot. Lots of wades and a few swims through out, was nice to have a 3/2 wetsuit for all the water exposure. Keeper pothole definitely in play, we went in it for fun. We were able to get out with the help of a long branch that was in there most of it was a swim, I could barely touch on my tippy toes at one edge. The 2 big raps were nice but most others were not very exciting. still some nice features and a worthwhile canyon. We got to the confluence of WCC just as a thunderstorm rolled in. It rained heavily on us for our exit, which was quite pleasant. We had spotted a car at Point TH and the hike to get there is very enjoyable. Lots of swimming holes on the way. Hiking/swimming in the rain with my wetsuit was really nice! This exit took us 3.5hrs at a leisurely pace. 7.5hr total car to car.

Comment: Chock full of beautiful flowers, crazy looking spiders, colorful moths, a snake and all the classic joys of WCC
Pothole was full but it wouldn't be hard bypass it via the arch rappel anyways Exit gully across from Tramway trail is sketchy at the top. A couple of pretty big rocks blew on us and careened down the gully. There's an aging fixed line to help you up to the final climb out on the right hand wall. Rockfall aside the gully was kinda fun.

Comment: Keepers were full to the tippy top with some light flow over the raps, lots of water throughout. Water was chilly, but I was fine in a 3mm wetsuit. Lots of green and, thus, poison ivy everywhere. Clover to Four Boulders exit was steep, but easy for experienced canyoneers. There's plenty of vegetation which obstructs the initial part of the exit a bit, so make sure you follow GPS route (not hand drawn red line).

Comment: Nice canyon, very interesting formations. The first rappel is start to go keeper mode, so if your short you might have some challenges. Lastly the sneak exit sucks, lots of climbing and route finding. Better off working out a shuttle and doing the longer exit.

Comment: Exiting via Point Trail proved to be quicker than expected (~2.5h) and extremely scenic. Made the short shuttle very worth it.
Cool route. Everything was pretty full of water, including keeper pothole. One member of the group wore a 3/2mm wetsuit and was fairly comfortable. Others had thicker neoprene. | |||||||

Comment: Wow, that south exit sucked. Canyon was ok, we skipped or downclimbed the first 4 raps. Did the keeper sequence as a single 90'. Easy to avoid the pothole using the webbing above it to swing around to the flat area. Changed anchor location on the final rap to a pinch point closer to the edge.
About that long exit, holy shit. Super brushy and no path of least resistance, then you get to the super loose stuff at the top. we probably should have bailed when we realized how loose things were in the last chute climb. I don't believe we got off track, I couldn't see any other way up. This area looked like it had recently experienced a landslide so maybe that was the problem. We made it out but a big rock was dislodged, injuring one of us (see incident report). we only made it out by doing a pack toss of sorts to provide a handline to get up and over the last class 5 obstacle. the hikearizona beta shows the exit drainage as the next one to the east of the KML track here. I suspect that this map is wrong. Someone should verify that the other one is good and fix it.

Comment: No wetsuit required. Some cold swims, but out of water fast. Recommend parking near Four Boulders Canyon start, dropping into Shamrock from east side and higher up canyon than beta for Canyon Collective has. Adds two more rappels and more fun downclimbs. Makes canyon much more interesting and fuller day. Head right after canyon up Clove Canyon. Exit up Four Boulders exit route, much faster and easiler than beta route.
