Comments: On Sunday, November 23, our group of seven descended Na-Gah Canyon and completed it car-to-car in three hours. The approach hike was super scenic, and we had great views of Cassidy Arch from across the Grand Wash and the surrounding area.After following Ryan’s beta to the head of the canyon, we did an optional approximately 50-foot rappel into the canyon and continued our descent. The rappel could probably have been bypassed DCR. We were surprised to find more downclimbs and another rappel before reaching the "official" start of the canyon and R1.The canyon was enjoyable, featuring some good downclimbs and rappels, including the final 165-foot drop. During our descent, we stemmed over a shallow pool of water but later rappelled directly into a pothole filled with thigh-deep water. All existing anchors and bolts were in good condition, and our group had no issues.

Comment: Super fun day with a bit of teaching and lots of bonus rappels.
This is my first canyon with natural anchors and seeing (& hearing) about a fiddle for the first time. We started a ways away and had to have a longer approach in due to one of the roads to the closer parking lot being closed, which adds a couple of miles on the approach and end, but the approach is beautiful. There are a few different paths and route searching going up from the path, but I'm sure there are multiple ones that go. There are a bunch of rappels that you can just walk around, but people have set up anchors at many of them, so we opted for the bonus rappels. We may not have even gotten to the official R1 until 130 pm (started around 7-730am), but we must've gotten in at least 3-6 bonus rappels, some of which may have only been 15' going over an overhand. 3rd to last rappel down into a deep cave looking thing from the top had a big puddle that was anywhere from crotch deep to ankle deep. Would recommend stopping about 5-6 feet above the water, then pushing off before rappelling to get at least 5-8 feet away from the wall and then just be in shin deep water. Alternative would be to toss a rope and meat anchor over so the person can just lower outside of the water. Otherwise, this canyon was dry. Most people in our group did the (off belay) push off the wall beta and were only in the ankle to shin deep water.

Comment: Approach trail is in good condition, generally easy to follow with cairns at appropriate moments. There is water in the canyon, with a few pools that are not easy to avoid. The final sequence is dark, deep, and narrow, and well-air conditioned even on a hot day. Those of us without any thermal protection were a little chilly towards the end. Anchors were in great condition, downclimbs were fun, and the last rappel is a beauty. Really nice short canyon.
