Comments: Nice to get back and run the canyon after scouting it in 2018. Had forgotten about all the brush. Flow was on the higher side today (with snow still present in the upper canyon) and required some careful evaluation at the drops. We bailed out after R3, but there are still 2-3 short drops downstream, plus some nice areas of bedrock. May have to come back for a complete descent some day. Improved some of the anchors. Saw a flock of wild turkeys at the trailhead. No ticks.

Comment: Brought a couple of bolts to make the last rap a bit more fun. Realized R2 needed a better station so it got a single bolt along with R3. Hopefully the next group that goes will take care of this issue.

Comment: For a winter/ spring canyon, this is a fun one with great views of Mt Hood and the Klickatat hills. Be warned, R1 is a handful. One person in the group went inverted when crossing above the lip of the falls at extreme high flow. No injuries occurred but they most certainly will if you aren’t ready for the force of water coming at you.
