Comment: Ran through as part of the Ultimate Loop (Time reflects this canyon + exit to car - not the loop). Fun canyon, definitely want a scuttlebut!

Comment: Slideanide! Saw a couple people bring scuttlebutts. Which I wish I'd done - I ripped a pair of pants pretty thoroughly on this. Glad I had gloves.
This is a downclimber haven. While the wiki indicates 2 rappels - you can do this without rappels. We had a group of six, finished via the left-hand exit in about 2h40m. Had a 60 foot rope that we didn't pull out of the pack, and had a couple tethers and slings that we likewise didn't use. Couple places we used partner assists and captures, but there's ways to solve for that too. Fun canyon, good intro to stemming and downclimbing with limited penalty points, beautiful day. We started around 5:30 and got done before sunset. Couldn't be happier. This is one of the shining stars of the North Wash.

Comment: Slideanide was in great condition. No water and all anchors were in great shape. Looks like a lot traffic lately. We downclimbed some and rapped others, maybe 5 rappels total. I know that this canyon can be downclimbed by the highly skilled but we took our time and rapped as many as we could. We broke the the last crack rap into three stages. We took the shortcut exit located across from where Constrychnine enters the drainage. The climb up in that crack is easier when the best climber in your party goes first and offers a handline.

Comment: Brought a rope but didn't use it. One or two small pools to stem over. A lot of fun with a great group.

Comment: We did the full Slideanide Constrychnine Loop which was a very cool combo of canyons back to back! Super fun! Lots to see. We did only 1 rappel in Slideanide, the first one to get into the canyon everything else was down-climbable. Lots of anchors rigged for those uncomfortable but this canyon really lends it's self to downclimbing and stemming. Both canyons have super cool dark sections/rooms unique to each one. Both have incredible sculpting and beautiful sticky rock. Lots of cracks to stem over, chutes to elevator down and rooms to admire. Nothing too crazy tight, very enjoyable! We did 2 rappels in Constrychine, both were pretty fun, biggest being the 180. There was one very easily avoidable pool at the end. The un-named upclimb canyon is easy upclimb stemming and fairly short. There is some mild slabby 5th class at the end and also more super mild brief 5th class on the exit. Both canyons were super fun, definitely recommend this loop. We almost added Arsenic on to the end since you pass it on the exit, but everyone else was tired.

Comment: N Turkey Knob Rd is in good condition except for a few stretches of rocky terrain and a couple of wash-outs. Most cars with decent clearance should be able to make it to the trailhead. The canyon was wonderfully dry and pleasant, with no pools or sticky mud. We rappelled into the canyon and did not use any anchors until the last downclimb in the final sequence. Both of those anchors were in good condition, but we did not inspect or replace any others. We took the climbers' exit out and it was straightforward. Loved the canyon and had a great time.

Comment: Group of 3. 6 hours, 30 mins car to car while doing a loop of Constrychnine and Slideanide Canyons. A few small wet spots but any water is avoidable.
We had ropes with us from our descent of Constrychnine so we dropped into Slideanide via the initial rappel. After that our group slid down, down climbed, or partner assisted all remaining drops. This is a fun one. Gloves, scuttlebuts, and a light gear loadout, is recommended. If planning to do this via the non-rappel entrance, I would still recommend bringing a short handling just in case. You never know when the canyon will have changed on you.
