Comments: An unseasonably cold and dry period meant South Fork was a winter wonderland full of snow and ice. 😍 Flow was 90 cfs and had been fairly low for the previous couple weeks. We ran the upper section and then hiked back up to our cars. There was knee- to thigh-deep postholing involved!

Comment: Really fun, easy canyon to run in a short time. Only ran it up to top of Franklin Falls and then exited back to cars.

Comment: Such a fun, playful canyon! All the usual jumps and slides are in. Flow was 74 cfs and there were no special challenges. We recommend the traverse lines to approach Franklin Falls as the spray was making the rocks slippery at this flow. All anchors in good condition. 3.5 hours car-to-car from Fall in the Wall to the Franklin Falls Trailhead.

Comment: Ran full length. 78F air temp, but the water was particularly cold. Low flow (25cfs), however all significant jumps still went fine. Found black fig8 in one of the early pools. Cut rusted quicklinks off Franklin bolts and replaced with fresh stainless steel ones. Canyon was looking very beautiful. A lot more trees in the canyon this year, with a dam formed in the lower section where the large jump is (you might want to now rap down the damn if not jumping).

Comment: Water is lower but the pools are still deep and cold. R1 anchor was removed, we opted to just walk around rather than set-up a new one there. Franklin Falls anchor has redundant large rappel rings, two highly rusted and does create a significant drag for the rope if you run it through them for the pull down. Test before use, or remove and replace them completely.

    Comment: Full canyon. 45-50 CFS.

Great canyon! A very adventurous one - no doubt! Not much webbing in place, so come prepared with quick links and webbing. Lots of slides and jumps. Water was a bit chilly at times with 3mm gloves.

Truly amazing views and scenery in the canyon! Didn’t expect that amount of creek walking though. Several miles of Creek walking. Some more technical rappels, Some slightly exposed or risky climbs to get to the rappels.

Took about 6–7 hours to do the full canyon.

Comment: A very fun thing to do on a very hot day. Very chill, and a relatively swimmy canyon. Some beta says bail after Franklin Falls but I think you miss the prettiest part of the canyon if you do this.

Comment: 48cfs. Ran whole length, usual jumps & slides all in on upper & lower section. Orange glow from the smoke just added to the already beautiful route. Lower section really does add to the overall trip.

Comment: Fantastic trip through South Fork Snoqualmie on a hot afternoon. Flow was 52 cfs on the Garcia gauge. The big slide is VERY fun at this flow. All the usual jumps are in.

Comment: Great water levels. Could use a bolt installed on the initial traverse to Franklin, we meat anchored our way across. We picked up some trash in the river. Good time, great group

Comment: Post work evening trip. 77cfs on the Garcia gauge. Good conditions for the jumps. Rigged line between R2 & R3. Somehow core-shot the rope on Franklin however!

Comment: Ideal flow. All the jump ledges are traversable, and the spray from Franklin is primo. Get after it! Removed some tat from the anchor at the top of Franklin. Otherwise, anchors are all good.

Comment: This canyon is best at super low flow - none of the raps get you all that wet anyway. The pools are all clear, the jumps are super fun (and sessionable) and even with the smoke, it was as pretty as ever. Walked the wagon road trail and the road back to my car. FYI, parking on the left side of the road next to the exit is closed right now, and the road is one way (uphill only) - makes the drive in slower if you're used to getting off at the Alpental exit.

Comment: Downstream gauge (12143400) was reporting ~60cfps. Great fun! At the second feature I did the 20ft jump (didn't touch the bottom [6ft, 210lb]), other two in the group did the 18' slide. As noted before, no hand rail above the falls. Returned to road from Franklin Falls.
