Comments: Our introduction to NC Canyons. Took our time and had to work together to manage rope after loosing rope bag to hydraulics on R1. Rest of trip was smooth and very enjoyable. The potholes on R2 looked to have very active hydraulics. We elected to do the rappel but bypassed entering the potholes. One of our members elected to use the bypass. The rest of the trip was smooth and overall very enjoyable.

Comment: Had the bail at the Steels Creek Falls rap. The initial two potholes were death hydraulics, and not everyone in the group was able to traverse them to the next anchor. I slide the rock face at R3 into the big pothole, then escaped to the trail above R4. The Teacups and Beverly Hillbilly Falls were rowdy, fun, and manageable.
