Comment: The upper part of the approach was covered with ice and icy snow. We fiddled into the canyon and the first rap was full of sheen deep snow. Then it almost completely cleared. I don't know if this route doesn't hold powder because of orientation or we got simply lucky but I'm so glad we did. Upper part is steep , bushy with loose rocks. If it was covered with snow it would make for a long, treacherous nightmare.

Comment: Down climbed the chasm to bolted anchor with a good pull. The hole next to the anchor could be downclimbed into but anchor or retrievable anchor will need to be placed if so. The chasm is now clean and a nice rappel with easy retrieval. Bushy up top and your routefind your way to the white wall rappel. Some minor downclimbs as well. R3 is 150 to solid ground but you may want to run it out a bit more. After r3 the route cleans up and the lower section is nice.

Comment: We stuck our ropes on R2; the 170' rap. Webbing needs to be extended atleast 20' over boulder or simply re-rigged elsewhere! This rappel is super bushy on the upper half as is most of the upper part of the route. Luckily we had enough rope to continue on. After bushwhacking for awhile we got to the next rap. R3 was very enjoyable and can be done with exactly 130' rope and an easy downclimb. We decided to exit early via the Half Sun Bear approach out to Bear Mtn Trail to retrieve our stuck ropes.
