Comment: The logistics are very easy to do this canyon from a rafting trip. You can start and end at President Harding Camp, and the approach is on a trail. The canyon is completely dry, so no cold water. There is one rappel near the end that is drop-dead gorgeous.

Comment: We added this on to our Tatahatso itinerary. After packrafting from Tatahatso, we hiked up to the top of the Redwall and dry camped. The next day we left our camp and descended with day packs to the river, topped up on water, hiked up, broke camp, and continued up Eminence Break to the car. A fast and competent group could do this as a day trip from the rim and most attempting this from the river should have no trouble making it round trip boat to boat during daylight, even in the winter.

The canyon is pleasant with some interesting arch features and some polished chutes. The final rap to the river above Harding was the highlight for me.
