Comments: Highly scenic, deeply carved canyon with amazing light bouncing off the rocks. A couple fun jumps and couple descent rappels. Our 120ft rope just barely reached on both rappels for rappel and pull side. Extremely low pay-to-play ratio. The only crappy part is the final 4 miles of road (after Lost) is terrible and very slow going and annoying.

Comment: Fun canyon! Fun jumps and swims.
The 'first rappel' described in the July 2025 accident report is not the main first rappel, nor is it a very clean rappel - the edge is significant. We avoided this one. Instead, there is a bolted anchor above the water in the main stream course - to access it, bypass the first rappel and continue upstream along the bank for only a few minutes to reach the first major pool. Otherwise, we had a blast. The flow was fairly strong, but avoidable except for the second rappel, which puts you directly in the torrent! We instead extended from an upper natural anchor. Great canyon, beta is excellent. | |||||||

Comment: There is a new (?) exit, very fast and easy returning to the upper parking. Updated in beta. Nice canyon, though not long. The last few miles of road have many large potholes that are pretty annoying.

Comment: Really beautiful canyon and the first rappel is reminiscent of Soffia in Belluno. The exit requires a short section of annoying bushwhacking when getting off the logging road and finding the stream.

Comment: This was the best canyon we did in the Mission area. We jumped or partially jumped most of the rappels. We liked it a lot, it's a shame it is so short, otherwise it would be rated higher. Our driver did not want to drive on bad roads, so we opened a new exit that does not require 4WD vehicles or even a shuttle.
