Comments: Great afternoon trip through Tierdrop! Anchors are all beefy and in good shape. Reconfiguration of the R3 chain anchor would be a good idea to mitigate damage to the sandstone, but we didn't bring bolt cutters.

CONDITIONSApproach and Exit: Standard approach and exit are obvious and nothing noteworthy to mention. Water Exposure: No water at all despite recent rains and some light sprinkling. Sandstone was quite dry too. Anchors & Rappels: The canyon is all bolted now (illegally or legally) and honestly, for a trade-route canyon like this that is done frequently by beginners and showing signs of rope grooving, it is probably best that is it bolted. However, the monstrosity of that is the two bolted anchor with the ridiculously long chain that is simultaneously too long and but too short to reach the edge is terrible. The chain is creating a lot of wear on the rock. This could have been placed in a much better location. STATS

Comment: Heavy wind during this weekend made us choose Tierdrop instead of the exposed ridge to UTurn.
R1 pull a bit tough as the anchors are 30-50 back from the slope. Good rope management or lots of hard effort to pull R1 rope. R3 is vertical with an overhang. We caught up to a guided group in front of us. Enjoy the nice views in the canyon.

Comment: A very windy day but approach is lower than the ridges.
