Comments: This canyon was WILD and easily underestimated due to it's short length. It packs a serious punch! There are more deep keeper potholes than I could count. Most of which required potshots to escape. Many of which are in direct succession to each other requiring a really good team dynamic and full understanding of the systems required for efficiency in these sections. One section had 3 DEEP keepers in a row!

We set up a sandtrap for EVERY rappel, and there were a TON of raps! We did not need a water anchor.

Some potholes had water, a few were brief swims but the water wasnt super cold, we carried wetsuits but did not put them on. However, with less sun and more water, they would be required.

It is hard to understand the amount of time and effort this canyon requires to the group that hasnt been through before, especially with a larger group.

A few key things Id recommend for future groups:

EVERYONE should carry a sandtrap, 3 potshots, and an 80-100ft rope. Etriers would also be very useful.

This canyon was beautiful and full to the brim with technical challenges. Do not underestimate it!!
