Comment: A great time with excellent folks! We opted to drive and park rather than start from slabby, and highly recommend it if you don’t have a risk of losing your camping spot. The trail up is easy to follow, although be mindful that the elevation gain really kicks up in the last mile and a half. The fossils were not as plentiful as expected, but there were a lot of surprises in this canyon (both good and bad!) 7:45 c2c with technical section completed around 6 hours in. Anchors were all in great form, although they are well hidden (and there were more down climbs than originally thought). All around an excellent day with a strong crew.

Comment: Lots of bees drinking from a pothole and under one of the boulders in a rappel. They weren't aggressive, and we didn't see the hive.
Six dead bighorn sheep. Found the end of a rope that a previous group got stuck and cut.
