Comment: Webbing great, previous comments solid, though i would wait till fall to do this route, foliage emptied and lacking green, moss is abundant though and really pretty.
Time reflects an exploring of some of Lower pumphouse, with low water you could go pretty far right now, maybe even the whole way, without getting feet wet

Comment: Short canyon with some very pretty walls. Webbing and rings were in great shape.

Comment: Replaced R2 webbing, handline condition great and the dynamic rope of the exit mentioned before is still there tied above the short climb if necessary.

Comment: Replaced webbing on r2. Trickle of water in the canyon. A fun quickie close the the highway 17.

Comment: Took our time with kids in the group. Couldn’t find an existing anchor at rap 2, so made one at a massive pinch. The short rappels and how they get slightly more challenging/interesting as you move through them, make this route good for new canyoneers. Pump house is gorgeous. Exit trail east to find and follow. Handline part was intimidating for a couple members in our group. Someone had left a usable length of dynamic rope alongside the big knotted handline. I rigged the dynamic as a 2:1 haul, and was able to back those people up. Worked great.

Comment: Very pristine area. Please try to preserve the vegetation as much as possible. Three rappels and a few fun moderate downclimbs. Great destination. Exit is quick, well-defined, and fun. Set a short shuttle to avoid walking the forest road. 2h route but spent about 20 minutes exploring Pumphouse.

Comment: Great conditions after a rain the night before. Got wet due to vegetation on approach. We did 3 rappels and really enjoyed the whole route. After r3 down a chute with a dead log we downclimbed and hiked down to the wash which has deep pools. Time was 2.5 hours car to car including a break at the bottom. Good exit with a bomber handline. PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF THE MOSS! Anchors are in good condition.

Comment: A neat mini canyon that dumps into the back of pump house wash. Although the top and. Ottom looked traveled, no anchors were found. 3 drops can be done off existing anchors but it wouldn't hurt to bring about 15ft of webbing. One of the 3 drops was downclimbed. The well developed climbers exit had a great trail less than a 1/4 mile from pump house wash.
Canyon was dry and fun as well as the exit and the destination wasn't bad either.
