Comments: Do not use the giant tree laying in the water course at rap3 as an anchor it is rotten to the core and resulted in a near miss... we could not successfully scuttle it but it will not hold weight... down climb, meat anchor or use some other anchor Five people three intermediates two beginner One pool was avoidable with skill other pool was not avoidable but extremely brief

Comment: Webbing on R1, R2, and R4 was all good. Never found webbing for R3 and chose to ghost it. The moss growing down R1 and R2 was really spectacular, and the canyon was in prime conditions, but it's not one I'd choose to repeat often. Avoided the pool you encounter during R1, but the pool at the bottom of R2 is unavoidable. No wetsuit needed right now. Drops you into a really pretty area of WCC. Follow the kml from Ropewiki to find the exit trail. The location of the Calloway Trail on Gaia is incorrect, you need to go a little further upstream. It's well marked with cairns.

Comment: FR 142 and the spur to Callaway TH was rutted and rocky. High clearance needed and 4x4 recommended. Easy but long approach to a short technical section. We placed a new anchor in the watercourse for the big (120' ish) rappel. Wetsuits optional in current conditions, some in our group went without. Deep wading in the canyon as well as in WCC. A forest fire was actively being managed and controlled by the local hotshots and USFS.

Comment: One chest-deep wade, which felt nice in the heat. The first drop had a big log in the center section which we threw down to avoid having the rope get tangled on it on the pull. 280' gave us plenty on the pull side. Didn't get an exact measurement on this drop but maybe 130'-ish. All webbing was fresh. No pull issues. The KML exit track is wrong. I'll fix it.

Comment: Lots of poison ivy. Half of one of the pine trees that make up X-Pine is now broken in half. Someone removed the bolt from Rappel 2. We had to climb up on LDC and rappel off a small tree since beta said only a 70-foot rappel after installation of the bolt.
