Comments: Fun trip in the narrows from top-down. Completed it in 9 hours with a few short breaks. I felt like our pace was at a good clip but nothing insane, and was surprised we did it in 9 hours. We had neoprene socks and no wetsuits and were comfortable. 41 cfps. Could have avoided all swimming but cooled off for fun. The top was rolling meadow and river bank hiking; pretty in it's own right though not a slot canyon. It is mostly slotty in the bottom half. I did it in my approach shoes and was glad to not have rented shoes. Stealth rubber was nice to have. Wish I had brought one of those big poles for depth checks and to look for places to step in opaque water. We packed 3L. Adults drank 1.5L, a 14 yr old drank like 16 oz. I think next time I would just pack 2L and a light filter.
