Introduction

Approach

If you have a high clearance vehicle, you might be able to drive past the official trailhead parking and shave 4 miles from the hike parking at the wilderness boundary.

Follow the Virgin River down canyon until eventually turning off into a drainage. A 15’ smooth vertical cute is eventually encountered that must be upclimbed, most would consider this unprotected class 5 climbing.

A few more small climbs are encountered along the way. Move up and over the hills then along a game trail traverse to descend down into Deadeye Dick

Descent

All anchors are natural, including a ghostable carin anchor at R1 and a deadman further down canyon

It is recommended to combine the descent with Mighty Mouse Canyon, which should add just 1h extra.
